Chiropractic Treatment

There are some common symptoms which we encounter on a regular basis - you may recognise a few of the following:

Sciatica Symptoms

The sciatic nerve is the longest nerve in your body, running from your spinal cord to your buttocks and hip area, and down the back of each leg. The term 'sciatica' refers to pain that radiates along the path of this nerve. Chiropractic adjustments are a highly effective and are a safe means of treating this common symptom.

Lower Back Pain

Lower back pain, also known as 'lumbago', is simply a pain or ache around your lower back region. This may be due to a number of things such as muscle strains or spasms, ligament sprains, joint problems or a 'slipped disc'. It may be induced by activities you're not used to such as lifting heavy furniture or working in the garden. By diagnosing the root of the problem, we provide appropriate treatment.

Neck and Arm Pain (and associated tension headaches)

A pain in your neck, arm or head can often be a symptom of nerve irritation in the neck. Very often it is a matter of gentle manipulation of the vertebra in the neck to remove the irritation. Depending on our diagnostic findings, the combined treatment of manipulation, massage and sometimes acupuncture can bring speedy relief of the painful symptoms.

Sports Injuries

From runner's knee to tennis elbow or damaged muscles and ligaments, we assess the presenting condition. A full corrective approach by checking the spine, pelvis, knee and foot position and the influence this has on the injury, is important to evaluate. We use various chiropractic techniques to balance the body position and then we are able to address the injury. Ultrasound, manipulation, acupuncture and exercise may all be used to treat the injury. Then a rehabilitation programme is introduced to prevent relapse.
